The Art of Designing Custom Industrial Carts

Designed for Functionality and Ergonomics

Industrial carts have endless utility and serve integral functions in many different facilities in regards to material transportation and relocation. When designing these carts, we keep in mind the final end use, environment, and requirements for them. Carts that will be used in a shipping warehouse to move heavy boxes are going to encounter different conditions in terms of weight, wear and tear, and impact than carts used in food preparation, and even carts used at retail shopping centers.

We also take into consideration how the carts will function as well. Will the carts need multiple shelves or handles for use? Welded hooks for totes or other hanging features? Will they be carrying large racks of pipes or lumber, or small tools? Do they need to be shaped to hold a certain type of product, such as a custom bin or panel? Will they be holding a mobile workstation?

We also focus on the ergonomics of the carts to make them simple and easy for people to use. The size and weight of the carts is taken into account, as is their actual transportation. We have years of experience in designing and fabricating these products and we work with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in various grades and thickness as well.
